Central Oklahoma To Run OBU Invite

SHAWNEE, Okla. – The University of Central Oklahoma cross country team will head to Oklahoma Baptist Saturday for the final regular season race of the 2019 season. The Bronchos take on the field at the OBU Invite beginning at 10 a.m.

Central Oklahoma has finished sixth, 22nd, and 16th in its three races this season. The Bronchos will turn to the postseason with the MIAA Championships in Joplin, Mo. In two weeks.

Harlie Hanson has led Central in all three races this season. The junior has 5k times of 19:32, 18:52, and 19:04, consistently leading the way for the Bronchos.

Arizona Hummingbird, also a junior, has improved in every race this season. She has times of 20:37, 19:29, and 19:09 in her three appearances.

And Freshman Kelsie Begansky, like Hummingbird, is another Broncho with consistent improvement this season. Begansky has run 20:32, 19:41, and 19:37.

Central Oklahoma will also have Jessica Cain, Erin Drewke, Adali Esquivel, Sami Harp, and Kimberly Perez competing at OBU Saturday.
