UCO Remains No. 14 In National Poll

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The University of Central Oklahoma maintained its position on the national level this week, with the Bronchos coming in at No. 14 for the second straight week in the United Soccer Coaches Top 25 announced Tuesday.

Central Oklahoma is 6-0-2 on the season and went 2-0 last week. The Bronchos beat Rogers State 4-1 in the final non-conference game of the season and then beat Northeastern State 3-1 in the first Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association match of 2019.
 
UCO is among the national leaders on offense this season. The Bronchos average 3.63 goals per game, which ranks as the seventh-best mark in the country. UCO also averages 2.88 assists per game, which also ranks as the seventh-best mark in the country. Central's 29 total goals and 23 total assists both rank fifth nationally.
 
UCO resumes conference play this weekend with a pair of home matches. The Bronchos play Fort Hays State Friday at 7 p.m. and Nebraska-Kearney Sunday at 1 p.m., both at Tom Thompson Field in Edmond.
