EDMOND – The University of Central Oklahoma tennis program announced Friday that Sarah Van Eeckhoudt has joined the team, transferring from NCAA Division I New Mexico State.

"We're thrilled to have Sarah here," UCO second-year head tennis coach Jaron Maestas said. "She is going to help us tremendously. I'm looking forward to working with her and getting started."

Van Eeckhoudt, who is from Belgium, has played for New Mexico State for the past two seasons. She won two matches in each season, competing in fall tournaments for the Aggies. Van Eeckhoudt is still a sophomore and has three seasons of eligibilty left. She took a redshirt season at NMSU.

She joins a trio of other newcomers looking to contribute to a Broncho team that made it to the Division II Central Regional Championship last season. Laetitia Charbonnet, Paola Lopez, and Haley Morgan will all be freshmen on the 2017-18 UCO tennis squad, with fall competition starting in September.
