EDMOND -
The University of Central Oklahoma women's soccer team travels to Northeastern State on Friday for a non-conference matchup with its longtime rival. The game will begin at 6 p.m. at DeLoache Field in Tahlequah.

The Bronchos (3-0-1) are have two wins on the road already this season in two contests. UCO played Southwestern to a 2-2 draw on Sunday.

Head coach Mike Cook's attacking style of play has benefited the Bronchos so far in 2016. UCO has outshot its opponents 70-55 through four games. The Bronchos hold a slight advantage in shots taken in the first half, but really put the pressure on teams in the second. That has led UCO to outscore its opponents 11-4 this season.

Ally Salls has stepped up in goal this season for Cook. The sophomore has played 345 minutes, appearing in all four games. Salls has allowed four goals, but has 22 saves already this season. The Flower Mound, Texas native had just four saves in 135 minutes played as a freshman.

Northeastern State (4-0) has only allowed one goal this season - to Ouachita Baptist - and has outscored opponents 15-1 in its four matches. The Riverhawks, like UCO, is a team that constantly applies pressure on their opponents. NSU has outshot the oppostion 99-28 this season.

Julia Mathis' six goals leads the team, she also has an assist. Jordan Woodruff is the only goalkeeper to see action this year for NSU, she has 15 saves so far.

UCO has an 18-2-2 all-time record against Northeastern State. The Bronchos won 13 in a row in the series from 1999-2011. UCO won two of three meetings in 2015 while tying once.
