Streaking Bronchos Top Arkansas Tech

RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. (Feb. 19) – Alli Hodges, Anna Minakova and Alix Williams won two matches apiece to lift streaking Central Oklahoma past Arkansas Tech 6-3 here Friday afternoon.

It was the fifth straight win for the Bronchos, who improved to 7-2 heading into Saturday matches against Ouachita Baptist and Henderson State.

Hodges and Minakova teamed up for an 8-2 romp at No. 2 doubles before each won straight-set singles bouts, with Hodges prevailing 6-4, 6-3 at No. 1 and Minakova 6-2, 6-3 at No. 5.

Williams combined with Jenny Bond for a key 9-7 win at No. 3 doubles before claiming a 6-4, 6-2 triumph at No. 3 singles.

UCO also got a 6-3, 6-2 win at No. 2 singles from Kirtana Bhat.
