UCO Tames Tigers

ADA, Okla. (Feb. 17) – Central Oklahoma picked up its fourth straight win to stay perfect for the spring season, beating intrastate rival East Central 6-3 here Wednesday.
 
The Bronchos led 2-1 after the three doubles matches and completed the victory by taking four of the six singles bouts.
 
Kirtana Bhat and Jenny Bond both went 2-0 on the day to lead the way.
 
Bhat teamed with Shali Schoepflin for an 8-2 rout at No. 1 doubles before picking up a 6-3, 6-2 triumph at No. 2 singles, while Bond combined with Alix Williams for an 8-3 win at No. 3 doubles and then rolled to a 6-0, 6-4 romp at No. 6 singles.
 
Alli Hodges and Anya Minakova also prevailed in singles for the Bronchos.

UCO, now 6-2 on the year, goes to Russellville, Ark. this weekend for matches against Arkansas Tech, Henderson State and Ouachita Baptist.
