Bronchos Finish Third

MONKEY ISLAND, Okla. (Sept. 15) – Eric Kline and Eli Armstrong shot final-round 74s to lead Central Oklahoma to a third-place finish in the Missouri Southern Fall Invitational here Tuesday.

The Bronchos fired a 303 in the closing round at the par-72 Shangri-La Golf Resort to finish the two-day, 54-hole tournament with an 891 total.

Central Missouri ran away with the team title, coming in an 864 to beat runner-up Missouri Southern by 23 shots. UCO was third in the 11-team tourney, followed by Lindenwood (896) and Northeastern State (909).

Kline and Armstrong's 74s paced the Bronchos, while Wesley Jackson shot 77, Russ Purser 78 and Cody Troutman 80. Gavin Mastell shot 82 as an individual medalist.

Kline tied for ninth in the individual standings with a 222 total, with Purser coming in 12^th at 223 and Jackson 14^th at 224.

The Bronchos are back in action next Monday and Tuesday at the Division II National Preview in Denver, Colo.
