UCO Finishes 13th

MIAMI BEACH, Fla. (March 31) – Wesley Jackson fired an even-par 71 and Central Oklahoma knocked 14 shots off its first-day scores in finishing 13^th at the Buccaneer Invitational here Tuesday.

The Bronchos were down to four players for the second straight day, but still managed a closing 293 to finish the two-day, 54-hole tournament with a 907 total at the 6,733-yard, par-71 Normandy Shores Golf Club.

Lynn won the title with an 846 total, 13 shots ahead of Nova Southeastern. Eastern Florida State was third in the rugged 17-team event at 867, followed by host Barry (868) and Central Missouri (877).

Jackson's 71 paced UCO, while Logan Gray shot 73, Russ Purser 74 and Eli Armstrong 75. The Bronchos were without Eric Kline, who missed the tournament after aggravating an elbow injury.

Jackson had the lowest total for UCO at 224, one shot ahead of Armstrong.

The Bronchos return to action April 13-14 at the Washburn Invitational in Topeka, Kan.
