UCO Finishes 10th In Arkansas Tourney

DANVILLE, Ark. (March 10) – Central Oklahoma knocked 18 strokes off their first-round score in finishing 10^th at the Dave Falconer Classic here Tuesday.

The Bronchos closed with a 291 at the par-72 Chamberlyne Country Club to finish the two-day, 36-hole event with a 600 total. Washburn finished at 584 to win the 18-team tourney, followed by Southwestern Oklahoma (591), Southeastern Oklahoma (592) and Henderson State (592).

Russ Purser shot a sizzling four-under-par 68 to lead UCO in the final round. The Bronchos also got 74s from Logan Gray and Cody Troutman, while Gavin Mastell had a 75 and Eli Armstrong an 81.

Purser finished sixth in the individual standings with an even-par 144 total.

UCO returns to action March 23-24 when it hosts the Broncho Invitational Presented by RCB Bank at Gaillardia Country Club in Oklahoma City.
