UCO Ready For Season Opener

Central Oklahoma makes its 2015 debut Thursday when the Bronchos host intrastate rival East Central.

Match-time at the UCO Courts located directly east of Hamilton House is 1 p.m.

The Tigers of the Great American Conference are 2-1 on the season.

It's the first of nine home duals for the Bronchos of veteran head coach Cari Groce, who is in her first year at UCO.

"Everyone has worked extremely hard getting ready for the season," said Groce, who is 232-175 in 19 years at four schools. "We're excited about the journey ahead and seeing how good a team we can become."

The Bronchos have three starters back from last year's 15-9 team – junior Alina Gorina and sophomores Lauren Allison and Emilie Semo.

UCO goes to Wichita Falls, Texas this weekend for two matches, taking on Hardin-Simmons Friday and Midwestern State Saturday.
