Bronchos Tie With Lindenwood

Caitlin Moore
ST. CHARLES, Mo. (Oct. 18) -- Caitlin Moore's late goal enabled Central Oklahoma to pull out a 1-1 tie with Lindenwood here Sunday.

The Lions broke a scoreless deadlock with 8:45 left to play, but Moore answered back just 36 seconds later when the freshman midfielder took a pass from Ashley McDaniel and knocked in a shot from the top of the box for the first goal of her career.  The Bronchos couldn't convert on four shots in the two overtime periods and had to settle for their second tie of the season.

"We played solid defense and had some good chances to score, but just weren't able to convert," head coach Mike Cook said.  "I thought we played hard and we're making progress."

UCO outshot the Lions 18-8, with Katie Killion taking six of those.  Elle Stover went the distance in goal for the Bronchos and had six saves on the day.

UCO, now 7-5-2 on the season and 4-2-2 in Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association play, returns home Friday to host league rival Missouri Southern at 4 p.m.
