Bronchos Take Second In Missouri

ST. JOSEPH, Mo. (Oct. 13) – Eric Kline fired a three-under-par 68 to pace Central Oklahoma on the final day of the Missouri Western/Holiday Inn Express Classic here Tuesday.
 
The Bronchos shot a one-over 285 at the St. Josph Country Club, but ended up second in the team standings behind league rival Central Missouri.  The Mules closed with a 279 to finish the two-day, 54-hole tournament at 871, three shots ahead of UCO.
 
Northeastern State was third in the 20-team tourney at 883, followed by Winona State (885) and Southwestern Oklahoma (889).
 
Eli Armstrong backed up Kline's 68 with an even-par 71, while the Bronchos also got a 72 from Russ Purser, a 74 from Cody Troutman and an 80 from Gavin Mastell.
 
Purser ended up tied for fifth in the individual standings with a 218 total, while Troutman tied for ninth at 219.
 
UCO travels to Monterrey, Calif. next Monday and Tuesday for the Otter Invitational.
