Central Oklahoma opens Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association play Friday when the Bronchos travel to Tahlequah to take on intrastate rival Northeastern State.

Game-time at DeLoache Field is 7 p.m.

UCO is 3-1, having won three straight since losing its season-opener.  The RiverHawks are 2-1.

The Bronchos follow Friday's game with a home meeting Sunday at 1 p.m. against conference foe Southwest Baptist.

ABOUT THE SERIES:  UCO has a big 14-2-1 series lead over NSU, though the RiverHawks won last year's meeting 2-0 in Tahlequah.

The teams will play again Oct. 31 in Edmond as MIAA teams play a home-and-home schedule this year.

ABOUT THE BRONCHOS:  UCO has outscored its last three opponents 9-1 in bouncing back from a season-opening 3-0 loss to Minnesota State-Mankato.

Eight different players have scored for the Bronchos.

Junior Gabi Bochus is the only multi-goal scorer with two, while freshman Lexi Carroll, sophomores Kenzie Sublett and Ashley McDaniel, juniors Tess Barnard, Paige Matacchiera and Quinn Tookey and senior Kate Foran have one goal each.

Carroll and junior Kimberly Linder have two assists apiece to lead UCO in that category.

Senior Brandi Bartley has gone the distance in goal the last two games and has 11 saves on the season against one goal allowed in 225 minutes.  She ranks fourth on UCO's career saves list with 152.

ABOUT THE RIVERHAWKS:  NSU dropped its season-opener at Northwestern Oklahoma, but rebounded for one-goal home wins over Ouachita Baptist and East Central in its last two outings.

Melissa Glles leads the RiverHawks with five points (two goals, one assist).
