EDMOND – Central Oklahoma travels to Sherman, Texas Tuesday to face Austin College in a 6 p.m. single game.
The Bronchos are 24-9 on the season, while the Kangaroos are 4-24 and have lost seven straight games. AC's last victory came against Schreiner College via the run rule.
The 'Roos are led by freshman outfielder Marcus Molina who is hitting .267 and has the team's only home run. Blaine Tew has been the workhorse on the pitching staff leading the team with 51 1/3 innings pitched, but is 1-5 with a 4.56 ERA.
Phillip Wilson and Jake O'Brien have both been swinging a hot bat for the Bronchos. Wilson went 13-for-17 against Fort Hays State with five doubles and two homers, while O'Brien went 11-for-16 with a homer and seven runs batted in.
It's the start of a five-game road trip for UCO, which goes to St. Charles, Mo. Friday to take on Lindenwood in the opener of the four-game conference series.
