UCO Opens Play In OC Classic Friday

Central Oklahoma continues its busy early-season schedule Friday when the Bronchos go to Oklahoma City for the first day of the Oklahoma Christian Classic.

UCO takes on Southwestern Christian for the second time this week at 5:30 p.m. Friday before going against Southern Nazarene at 5 p.m. Saturday.

The Bronchos are 4-2, while the Eagles are 3-3. UCO put seven players in double figures and shot 59.4 percent from the field in rolling over SCU 113-74 Monday night at Hamilton Field House.

UCO is averaging 91.3 points a game despite being held to a season-low 68 in Tuesday's 70-68 road loss to Southwestern Oklahoma.

Five players are averaging between 11.0 and 13.7 points a game – senior Mahlon Jones (13.7), junior Reggie Sloan (13.0), redshirt freshman Garen Wright (13.0), junior Cal Andrews (12.2) and junior Seth Heckart (11.0).

The Bronchos host Mid-America Christian Monday to open a three-game homestand. UCO starts Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association play Thursday against Lindenwood and then takes on Lincoln Sunday Dec. 7 in a game that has been moved back a day from its original schedule.
