EDMOND (Oct. 3) –
Emily Hahn scored three goals and Central Oklahoma seized control early en route to a 6-0 thrashing of Washburn Friday afternoon at wind-swept Tom Thompson Field.

The Bronchos tallied three scores in barely a one-minute span to jump in front 3-0 just 10 minutes into the contest, led 4-0 at halftime and added two second-half goals in coasting to their third straight Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association shutout.

UCO, which improved to 7-2 on the season and 4-1 in league play, is back in action again Sunday when it hosts Emporia State at 1 p.m. in another conference contest.

"We came out aggressive and really did a nice job attacking the goal today," head coach Mike Cook said.  "We got out to a good lead early and then didn't let up defensively, which was important.  It was a good win for us."

The Bronchos also got two goals from Kate Foran, while Kenna Dyess and Emily Precure had two assists apiece.  UCO outshot the Ichabods 35-5, with Elle Stover and Brandi Bartley making two saves apiece while each played a half in goal.

Foran started UCO's onslaught at the 9:09 mark when she headed in a Dyess pass and the Bronchos made it 2-0 just 24 seconds later when Lexi Carroll booted in another Dyess offering.

It took just 47 seconds for UCO to score yet another goal, with Hahn getting her first of the day on a shot from 15 yards out after taking a cross from Quinn Tookey.

Foran notched her second goal of the half in the 26th minute when she tapped in a shot from 10 yards away after gathering in a Precure pass and the half ended 4-0.

Precure picked up her second assist nine minutes into the second half on Hahn's second goal of the day and Hahn completed the hat trick with a penalty kick in the 64th minute to complete the scoring.
