Abramovic Named Region's Top Senior Player

SKILLMAN, N.J. (May 21) – Central Oklahoma tennis star Elizabeta Abramovic has been selected as the NCAA Division II South Central Region Senior Player of the Year by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association, it was announced Monday.

A native of Zagreb, Croatia, Abramovic was a four-year standout for the Bronchos and won 100 matches during her career while leading UCO to three national tournament appearances.

Abramovic was the team's No. 1 singles player in addition to filling the No. 1 doubles role with Julia Shviadok this year and was ranked among the top regional players in both while winning a combined 28 matches.

She was a three-time All-Lone Star Conference pick in doubles in addition to earning singles honors in 2011 during UCO's final year in the league.

The Bronchos finished 15-7 this season in making it back to the national tournament.
