EDMOND – Dustin Finn took the top award in the Central Oklahoma Wrestling Banquet that was held Friday night at the Wantland Stadium Suites.

The senior heavyweight was named UCO's Wrestler of the Year for the second straight season and also claimed Senior of the Year recognition following a 2009-10 campaign that saw him go 28-6 and earn All-America honors for the third straight season.

Finn overcame a mid-season back injury that sidelined him for nearly two months to finish runner-up in the Super Regional Two Tournament and third in the national tournament as he became UCO's first-ever three-time heavyweight All-American.

Senior Cody Rowell was selected as the Baguba of the Year, a special award given the wrestler who overcomes great adversity in achieving success.  Rowell used a late-season surge to qualify for the national tournament and went on to earn All-America honors.

Redshirt freshman Derrick Adkins was named Newcomer of the Year after starting all year at 165 pounds and earning a national tournament berth with a runner-up finish in the regional.  He finished 31-16 for the year.

Freshman Casy Rowell earned the award for most takedowns, while Finn and redshirt freshman Austin Standage shared the most falls honor.

Sophomore Jarrett Edison and redshirt freshman Trison Graham were also recognized for earning NCAA Division II All-Academic honors.
