Sophomore 149-pounder and returning part-time starter who will be in the running for the full-time position in 2010-11 . . . 2009-10: Split time in the starting lineup most of the year before winning the spot at the end over a three-year starter . . . Finished 21-11 with 12 bonus-point wins, tying for the team lead in falls (nine) . . . Went 2-2 with a pair of falls in the regional in finishing fifth to just miss out on a national tournament berth, losing a 3-2 decision in the consolation semifinals . . . Placed fourth in the season-opening Oklahoma City Open . . . Went 6-1 in duals, with the lone loss coming to Oklahoma's Kyle Terry.

2008-09: Wrestled in four open tournaments while redshirting, going 7-8 with five falls.

High School: State placer who earned All-District, All-Area and All-State honors as a senior, finishing with a 35-5 record . . . Also an All-District and All-Area pick in football.

Personal: A kinesiology major . . . Lists the Chicago Bears as his top professional team . . . Names "Remember the Titans" as his favorite sports movie . . . Birthdate is June 15, 1990.
