DURANT, Okla. (March 26) -- Central Oklahoma built an early lead but couldn't hold on in dropping a 9-5 Lone Star Conference decision to Southeastern Oklahoma here Friday afternoon.
The Bronchos led 5-1 heading into the bottom of the fifth inning before SOSU went in front with a five-run outburst and the Savages added three runs in the eight to put the game away.
UCO dropped to 8-15 on the year and 6-15 in league play, while SOSU iimproved to 20-9 and 16-7. The two teams meet for a doubleheader at 1 p.m. Saturday before finishing the four-game series with a single nine-inning contest at 1 p.m. Sunday.
The Bronchos outhit SOSU 11-10 in the game, getting two-hit outings from Taylor Brown, Luke Yost, Brady White and Jordan Mullin.
