Rambelles Take Out UCO

SAN ANGELO, Texas (Oct. 1) -- Angelo State used a first-half scoring flurry to take control early and went on to hand Central Oklahoma a 4-1 Lone Star Conference setback here Friday afternoon.

The Rambelles scored three goals in the first 30 minutes of the contest and then answered UCO's lone goal with another just three minutes later to hand the Bronchos their first league loss.

UCO dropped to 5-4 on the year and 1-1 in conference play heading into Sunday's game at Incarnate Word. ASU improved to 5-3-1 and 2-0.

Brittni Walker had the only score for the Bronchos, knocking in a pass from Shayna Kindsvater at the 32:59 mark to cut ASU's lead to 3-1. The Rambelles came back with their fourth goal in the 35th minute to make it 4-1 and UCO couldn't get its offense untracked the rest of the way.
