COMMERCE, Texas (Oct. 26) –
Adam Farkes threw a 15-yard touchdown pass to Taylor Fore with two seconds remaining to lift Texas A&M-Commerce to a 27-23 Lone Star Conference North Division victory over Central Oklahoma here Saturday night.

The Bronchos took a 23-20 lead with 3:54 remaining on Brandon Noohi's 80-yard scoring pass to Dolphin Davis, but the Lions answered back with an eight-play, 74-yard drive to pull out their first win of the season.

Farkes completed 7-of-8 passes for 68 yards in the game-winning drive to stun the defending LSC North champion Bronchos.

UCO fell to 1-4 overall and 0-1 in the North Division, while A&M-C picked up their first win in improving to 1-4 and 1-0.

Noohi set a single-game school record with 36 completions in 51 attempts for 332 yards and two TDs, but UCO managed only 40 yards rushing.  Davis got his first extended action of the season and caught five passes for 122 yards to lead nine different receivers who had at least two receptions.

Farkes ended up with 314 yards passing as he hit 35-of-50 attempts, though the Bronchos tied a school record with five interceptions – three by Caleb Prince.

UCO threatened to score first after getting a 29-yard pass from Noohi to Davis in driving to a first-and-goal at the A&M-C three, but the Bronchos ended up trying a 20-yard field goal.  Ross Weaver's kick was blocked and the Lions' Shea Rodriquez picked it up and ran it back 96 yards for a touchdown.

A&M-C maintained that 7-0 lead until the third quarter when UCO went on a 17-play, 81-yard drive to tie the game on Ben Birmingham's 14-yard sprint around the right side.

The Bronchos forced a quick A&M-C punt and took the lead on their next possession, going 65 yards in nine plays with Noohi hitting Daniel Morrell from 12 yards out for the score and a 14-7 lead.

UCO upped the advantage to 17-7 on Weaver's 33-yard field goal with 13:30 to play, but the Lions came back with a pair of TDs to go on top 20-17 with 4:54 left to play.

The Bronchos answered quickly, with Noohi and Davis teaming up for their 80-yard score that put the Bronchos back in front to set the stage for A&M-C's late rally.

UCO returns home to celebrate Homecoming next Saturday against Southwest Baptist.
