Biography

Dual-threat quarterback set to run UCO’s up-tempo offense for the second straight year . . . Senior playmaker who showcases a strong arm and the ability to throw on the run while also more than capable of hurting a defense with his running skills . . . Should be even more dangerous this season after the success of last year and is ready to end his career with a flourish . . . Handled the punting duties last year and could do that again if needed . . . Transferred from Lone Star Conference rival Southeastern Oklahoma in the spring of 2008.

2008:  Split time under center early in the season before taking over in the second half against Texas A&M-Commerce and went on to lead UCO to seven straight wins and the LSC North Division title . . . Was a second-team All-LSC North Division selection after completing 172-of-316 passes (54.4 percent) for 1,990 yards -- the sixth-best season at UCO -- and 11 touchdowns with just three interceptions . . . Also had 86 rushes for 142 yards and eight TDs . . . Was LSC North Division Offensive Player of the Week an unprecedented five straight times while also earning LSC North Special Teams Player of the Week accolades twice as the punter . . . Finished with 2,132 yards in total offense, which ranks fifth on the school’s single-season chart . . . Also averaged 38.9 yards a punt with a long of 66 . . . Had two of the top-10 passing games in school history in back-to-back outings, hitting 21-of-33 passes for 359 yards (sixth) and three TDs against Southwest Baptist and connecting on 26-of-36 attempts for 346 yards (seventh) and two scores against Southeastern Oklahoma . . . Added 42 yards and three TDs rushing in rout of SOSU to finish with 388 total yards, the fifth-best single-game performance at UCO . . . Attempted a school-record 49 passes in win over East Central, hitting 24 for 281 yards and one TD while adding 63 yards and one score rushing to end up with 344 total yards, eighth on UCO’s single-game list.

SOSU:  Redshirted in 2005, played two games during an injury-plagued 2006 season and then saw action in all 10 games for the Savage Storm in 2007 . . . Completed 49-of-93 passes (52.2 percent) for 746 yards and four TDs while adding 99 yards and three scores rushing in 2007 . . . Was 3-of-13 passing for 55 yards and rushed for 24 yards and an eight-yard TD run in SOSU’s 24-15 victory over UCO that year.

High School:  Three-sport standout at Mount Saint Mary High School in Oklahoma City . . . District 2A-2 Offensive Player of the Year and an Oklahoman All-State selection on the gridiron as a senior . . . Also lettered in baseball and basketball.

Personal:  A broadcasting major looking to be a sports analyst . . . Birthdate is March 18, 1987.
