TOWSON, Md. (May 27) – Central Oklahoma outfielder-first baseman Andrew Foshee has earned second-team honors on the 2009 ESPN The Magazine College Division Academic All-America Baseball Team, it was announced Tuesday.
A senior marketing major from Guthrie with a perfect 4.0 grade point average, Foshee was one of just 33 student-athletes to receive Academic All-America recognition on the three teams that were selected by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA).
Foshee was earlier named Lone Star Conference Academic Player of the Year as well as UCO's Senior Male Student-Athlete of the Year. A four-year letterman for the Bronchos, he batted .341 this season and led the team in home runs (13) and runs batted in (43) while adding 14 doubles and scoring 51 runs.
