Bronchos Garner Team Academic Award

Central Oklahoma Lands 3.53 Team GPA During 2025-26 Academic Year

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Central Oklahoma earned the College Team Academic Award earlier this month for its work during the 2025-26 academic year, the United Soccer Coaches organization announced.

"We're proud of the team for earning this recognition," UCO head women's soccer coach Amel Muhamedagic said. "We take academics very seriously but student-athletes also put so much time into training and competitions. For the team to excel at both is a big deal."

A total of 802 soccer teams (338 men, 464 women) across all divisions posted a qualifying team grade point average of 3.0 or higher to earn the United Soccer Coaches Team Academic Award. Central Oklahoma posted a 3.53 team GPA.

The 2026 UCO team kicks off the new season next weekend in Edmond. The Bronchos host Minnesota State (Friday, Aug. 28) and Augustana (Sunday, Aug. 30) in a pair of non-conference contests at Tom Thompson Field. Tickets are on sale now at bronchosports.com/tickets.
