UCO Announces New Strength & Conditioning Staff

New Staff Began Work This Summer With Broncho Programs

EDMOND – Central Oklahoma Vice President for Athletics Stan Wagnon announced new staff additions to the strength and conditioning program this summer.

Dakota Moran has joined UCO as the Director of Strength & Performance and Hayden Conrad comes alongside Moran as the Assistant Strength & Performance Coach. The two also welcome graduate assistants Cayden Clay and Carter Brock.

"An effective strength program is the foundation upon which championship teams are built, and the Bronchos are blessed to have Dakota  Moran on board to lead the strength and performance efforts across all 15 sports," Wagnon said. "Dakota has quickly assembled an impressive staff. With the progress they've already made this summer, we are excited to watch UCO's athletes continue to grow stronger and faster in the year ahead."

Moran came to UCO this summer with more than 10 years of experience in the industry. He most recently served as head strength and conditioning coach at the high school level, working at Bixby (2025-26) and Casady (2021-25). Prior to that he spent time at the college level at Pittsburg State (2020-21), Iowa Western (2019-20), Texas (2018-19), and Northeastern State (2015-18).

Originally from Midwest City, Oklahoma, Moran earned his bachelor's and master's degrees from Northeastern State.

Conrad came to UCO this summer from Performance Course, a local strength & conditioning facility in Oklahoma City. Originally from Mustang, Oklahoma, Conrad earned his bachelor's degree from Evangel University in Missouri where he played football before earning his master's degree from Central Oklahoma earlier this year.

Clay is from Abilene, Texas and came to UCO from Abilene Christian, where he earned his bachelor's degree and recently completed an internship in its strength & conditioning program. Brock is from Carrollton, Texas and came to UCO following an internship with the University of Texas football program and has his bachelor's degree from Southern Nazarene University.

Ryan Wheeler, who has volunteered for the strength & conditioning staff for the past two years, will continue to serve in a part-time role assisting as needed.

The strength & conditioning staff oversees 15 varsity sports for Central Oklahoma, working with each program inside the Sports Performance Center.
