Bronchos Make Season's Final Road Trip

Central Oklahoma Plays At Arkansas Fort Smith, Northeastern State This Week

FORT SMITH, Ark. – Central Oklahoma begins the final road trip of the season Thursday night at Arkansas - Fort Smith in an MIAA game at the Lions' Stubblefield Center.
 
UCO is 9-17 on the season and 4-13 in league play. UAFS is 4-22 overall and 3-14 in the MIAA. Central Oklahoma will wrap up the 2025-26 season on Saturday afternoon. The Bronchos take on Northeastern State at 1:30 p.m.
 
Central hosted Fort Smith on Jan. 10 and won 62-54 at Hamilton Field House. The Bronchos own an 11-2 advantage in the all-time series with the Lions.
 
Central Oklahoma enters the final week of the regular season averaging 61.8 points per game. The Bronchos shoot 35.4 percent overall as a team, 25.9 percent from 3-point range, and 66.3 percent at the free-throw line. UCO averages 4.4 made 3-pointers per game and 11.5 made free-throws per contest.
 
Jerney Bennett's record-setting season on defense has led the Bronchos this year. The sophomore forward from Edmond has 105 blocked shots, more than any player in school history. She averages 8.3 points and 7.8 rebounds to go with 4.0 blocks per game. Bennett's 87 made shots this season are the third most on the team. She shoots 43.1 percent from the floor.
 
Nykaiya Dillard (11.7) and Kaitlyn McCarn (10.7) lead the Bronchos in scoring. Dillard does it off the bench and in just 18.5 minutes per game. She has a team-high 112 made shots this season. McCarn is the only player to start every game this season. She also plays a team-high 29.9 minutes per game and is second in made baskets with 110.
 
Bobbie Fouquet adds 8.3 points, tied with Bennett for third on the team. She is fourth in made baskets with 81. The junior forward also averaged 5.8 rebounds per game.
 
UCO also gets 5.3 points per game from Olivia Quapaw. Kendrick Bailey (3.9), Peyton Walker (3.8), and Talia Pogi (3.6) also chip in on the offense. Bailey and Pogi are tied with a team-high 21 made 3-pointers this season.
 
Arkansas Fort Smith averages 61.0 points per game entering the final week of the season. The Lions give up 69.9 points per game. UAFS is led by Telisha Brown, who averages 10.9 points. Marie Wemba leads the team in rebounding at 6.3 boards per game.
