Bronchos Fall In Finale

Central Oklahoma Loses 69-66 At Northeastern State

TAHLEQUAH, Okla. – Central Oklahoma ended the 2025-26 season with a 69-66 setback at Northeastern State.
 
UCO finished the year 10-18 overall with a 5-14 record in the MIAA.
 
Saturday in Tahlequah, the Bronchos got an early lead and kept it for nearly the entire first 10 minutes. UCO led 17-15 at the first break.
 
But NSU put together a 12-0 run that spanned more than four minutes in the first half and the Bronchos never led again. The 17-13 lead became a 25-17 deficit. UCO got within two points twice in the second quarter and within one point twice in the third quarter. The Bronchos had it down to one point, 63-62, with 2:28 remaining but couldn't finish the comeback.
 
Jerney Bennet led Central Oklahoma with 20 points, 14 rebounds, three blocks, two steals, and one assist. The sophomore forward finished her debut season at Central setting the single season blocks record with 109 on the season.
 
Nykaiya Dillard also scored 15 points to go with five boards. Bobbie Fouquet had 11 points with seven rebounds.
 
UCO also got nine from Kendrick Bailey, eight from Kaitlyn McCarn, two from Haniya Geretta, and one from Peyton Walker.
 
Central Oklahoma made 24 of 59 total shots, a 40.7 percent mark, including 3 of 14 attempts from behind the arc. The Bronchos were 15-for-22 at the free-throw line.
