Bronchos Better Lions In Arkansas

Central Oklahoma Wins 70-58 At Arkansas-Fort Smith

FORT SMITH, Ark. – Central Oklahoma picked up a win to start the final week of the season beating Arkansas - Fort Smith 70-58 Thursday night.
 
UCO is 10-17 on the season and 5-13 in the MIAA. The Bronchos close the 2025-26 season Saturday at Northeastern State (16-11, 8-10 MIAA) with tipoff scheduled for 1:30 p.m.
 
Bobbie Fouquet led the Bronchos with a career-high 27 points Thursday night. The junior forward played 39 minutes, went 10-for-21 from the floor including a 3-for-6 mark behind the 3-point line, and was also 4-for-5 at the free-throw line. She pulled down six rebounds to help the Bronchos and also had a pair of assists and one steal.
 
Kendrick Bailey added a season-high 18 points – the second-most in her career. The senior guard was 6-for-9 from the floor and it was nearly all 3-pointers. She went 6-for-8 from behind the arc. Bailey also had two rebounds, two assists, and two steals.
 
UCO also got 11 from Jerney Bennett, who had five boards, two steals, and one block, and 10 from Kaitlyn McCarn, who added four assists, three rebounds, and two steals.
 
Peyton Walker and Nykaiya Dillard both scored two points in for the Bronchos. Walker joined Fouquet with a team-high six boards and joined McCarn with a team-high four assists. She added one steal. Dillard had two points and two assists.
 
Central Oklahoma and Arkansas Fort Smith went back and forth for most of the first quarter. The Bronchos broke a 12-12 tie and led 19-14 after one quarter. UCO never trailed again.
 
Both teams scored 10 in the second quarter and Central outscored UAFS 20-18 in the third quarter to take a 49-42 lead into the final frame. The Bronchos outscored the Lions 21-16 in the final quarter to pull away for the win.
