Hoops Season Tips Off Friday In Wisconsin

Bronchos Play Three Games At D2CCA Midwest Tipoff Classic

WISCONSIN DELLS, Wisc. – Central Oklahoma begins the 2026-27 season Friday afternoon against Northern Michigan in the D2CCA Tipoff Classic.

NMU is hosting the event at Just A Game Fieldhouse in Wisconsin Dells. The Bronchos will play Northern Michigan Friday at 6 p.m. UCO is also taking on West Texas A&M Saturday at 3:45 p.m. and Harding at the same time Sunday afternoon.

"We're really just ready to get going," UCO head men's basketball coach Bob Hoffman said. "We've had a few good weeks of practice and some good scrimmages, but we're ready to get going against an opponent in a real game; to find out where we stand.

"We have a really good mix of returners and new guys that are going to be fun to coach," Hoffman continued. "The guys that are back know what we need to do and know what level we need to play at and the new guys are coming in eager and ready to help out. It's been a good month and we're ready to roll the ball out there and see what happens."

Hoffman enters his eighth season leading Central Oklahoma. The veteran head coach has a 130-82 record at UCO since the 2019-20 season with one MIAA title and two NCAA tournament appearances. Hoffman is 737-418 as a college basketball coach with 649 wins as a men's head coach.

He returns just over half of the team from last year. Jacobi Sebock returns for a fifth year after missing most of last season with an injury. The 2025 Seocnd Team All-MIAA selection is poised to lead the Bronchos this season.

Sebock averaged 13.7 points and 7.7 rebounds per game during his junior season. He played and started all 32 contests. Last season, Sebock averaged 15.7 points and 5.3 rebounds per game for the first seven games of the season before a season ending injury.

Brady Hancuff played in all 33 games as a true freshman last season. He made five starts and averaged 3.8 points and 3.5 rebounds per game. Trey Tuck played in 32 games and made one start. He averaged 2.2 points per game.

Jack Robinson is back for his third year in the program after playing 29 games last year and making 12 starts. He averaged 4.2 points and 3.4 rebounds per game. Robinson also put up 2.7 assists and 1.3 steals per game.

Jayden Garces is also back after playing in 18 games last season. Carter Roman Nose (seven games played) and Levi Kelly (one game) also return after redshirt seasons in 2026-27.

Jarreth Ingram is another returner for the Bronchos with 54 games played in two seasons. He missed all of last year with an injury. Ingram played in 28 games as a freshman in 2023-24 averaging 6.7 minutes per game. He appeared in 26 games as a sophomore and made one start playing 8.7 minutes per game.

Central Oklahoma brought in two senior transfers in Ajani Jamison and Donovan Lovelace. Pavel Ivanov is a junior transfer and Uriah Boutte is a sophomore transfer. The Bronchos also have three freshmen in the mix in Braden Buckingham, Jett Mueggenborg, and Caison Robinson.

UCO went 17-16 last season and finished 9-10 in the MIAA. The Bronchos averaged 71.6 points per game and held opponents to 68.9 points per game.

Upon return from Wisconsin, Central Oklahoma will play 7 of 8 games at home in November. After the home opener against Texas A&M Texarkana on Nov. 9, the Bronchos are hosting a Central Region Challenge with Northwestern Oklahoma State, Minnesota Crookston and Oklahoma Christian.
