The Small College Basketball Hall of Fame announced the Top 100 and will announce in the coming weeks the Top 50, Top 25, and finalists for the Clarence "Bevo" Francis Award, presented annually to the player who has had the finest overall season within Small College Basketball, according to the organization's website.

"We've said this a lot lately, but we're just really proud of Matt for all the work that he has put in and the recognition he is receiving," UCO head men's basketball coach Bob Hoffman said. "He's a great kid to have on your team for on the court reasons obviously, but also to have in your locker room. He's a great student too. An all-around good kid. We're happy for him to be named to this watchlist."

Willenborg is having one of the finest overall seasons this year. The junior forward from Norman, Oklahoma on Monday was named MIAA Men's Basketball Athlete of the Week for the second time this season and on Tuesday was named NABC Division II National Player of the Week. He currently leads the MIAA in scoring, rebounding, and blocked shots.

Willenborg is shooting 51.9 percent from the floor overall this season with 147 made field goals. He is shooting 36.6 percent from behind the 3-point line and 82.1 percent from the free-throw line.

Central Oklahoma is 11-8 this season with a 4-3 record in the MIAA. The Bronchos are wrapping up a four-game homestand this Saturday with the MIAA Game of the Week against Pittsburg State. The game is being broadcast on 38 The Spot in the Kansas City television market.
