Bronchos Move Up In National Polls

Central Oklahoma Beat Pittsburg State 27-24 In Week 1

WACO, Texas – Central Oklahoma's Top 25 win on Saturday helped move the Bronchos up in the national polls released Monday.
 
UCO is now ranked No. 15 in the AFCA Top 25 coaches' poll and No. 12 in the D2Football.com Top 25 media poll. The Bronchos moved up four spots in the AFCA coaches' poll and five spots in the D2Football media poll.
 
Central Oklahoma is 1-1 this season and 1-0 in the MIAA following a historic 27-24 win over Pittsburg State Saturday in Edmond. The Bronchos beat the Gorillas for the first time since 2015 and won at home against Pitt for the first time since 1968 (eight meetings).
 
Central Oklahoma is off in Week 2 and will be back in action Sept. 20 when the Bronchos host Washburn at Chad Richison Stadium. Kickoff is scheduled for 7 p.m. next Saturday. The game is a Blue Out sponsored by Pepsi.
