Bronchos Open Season Monday In Missouri

Central Oklahoma Plays At Mules National Monday & Tuesday

WARRENSBURG, Mo. – Central Oklahoma begins the 2025-26 men's golf season Monday with Central Missouri's The Mule at Mules National Golf Club.

The Bronchos will play 36 holes on Monday and 18 more Tuesday around the 6,362-yard Par 70 course. UCO is looking to repeat as team champions after taking top honors in the 2024-25 season opener one year ago.

Central Oklahoma will send Nick Canales, Bryant Polhill, Rhett Hughes, Baylor Bostick, and Karsten Paciotti to Warrensburg this week. Canales and Bostick are returning All-Americans that look to continue leading the Bronchos after the last two seasons have been dominant play.

Canales, a junior from La Porte, Texas, posted a 70.8 scoring average last season through 34 rounds of golf. He played every round for the Bronchos in his second year with the program and earned a second All-American honor. Canales won The Mule last season and finished in the top 10 five times.

Bostick, also a junior who is from Duncan, Oklahoma, played 28 rounds last season with a 71.5 scoring average. He finished second at the Houston Classic in February, third at the MIAA Championships in April, and fourth in the Washburn Invitational in October. Bostick will make his first appearance in Warrensburg this week.

Paciotti, from Katy, Texas, posted a 73.2 scoring average over 32 rounds of golf last year. He sat out the 2023-24 season at UCO after spending his first two years at DIII Dallas. Last season, Paciotti finished fourth in two tournaments and was Top 25 in two more. He shot a 12-over 222 at The Mule last September.

Hughes, who is from Edmond, played in one tournament at Nebraska in 2024-25 before transferring to Central Oklahoma at the semester break. He played in three tournaments for the Bronchos and finished 15th, 21st, and 61st. His 2-over 146 in Houston was a career best.

Polhill is also from Edmond and is ready to make his UCO debut. The former Oklahoma Christian School prep standout and Kansas State transfer played in one tournament for the Wildcats in 2023-24 before sitting out last season. Polhill finished 42nd at the Kansas State Invitational with 7-over 223 (74-77-72). Polhill's father Allan was a three-time All-Conference selection (1987-88-90) for the Bronchos.
