Bronchos Dip In Rankings

Central Oklahoma Maintains Top 25 Status After 0-1 Start

WACO, Texas – Central Oklahoma dropped to No. 19 in the country in this week's American Football Coaches Association Top 25 following a season-opening loss at UT Permian Basin in Week 0.

Central Oklahoma also dipped to No. 17 in the D2Football.com Top 25 media poll.

The Bronchos were ranked fifth in the AFCA Preseason poll and third in the D2Football media poll. But a 34-14 loss in Week 0 spoiled the 2025 debut for the Bronchos. Central Oklahoma maintained a spot in the Top 25 for the 12th consecutive poll dating back to early last season.

Pittsburg State is the Week 1 opponent for the Bronchos – Saturday night in Edmond. The Gorillas are also 0-1 after a non-conference road loss in Week 0. Pitt dropped from ninth to 13th in the AFCA poll and 10th to 12th in the D2Football poll.
