NORMAN, Okla. – Central Oklahoma dipped to No. 6 in the latest Golf Coaches Association of America Bushnell/Golfweek Division II Coaches' Poll.
West Florida took over the top spot from North Georgia, which is No. 2 this week. Florida Southern jumped from seventh to third and Lee from fifth to fourth. Georgia Southwestern was third and dropped to fifth ahead of the Bronchos.
The Bronchos have played three tournaments this fall and won the first two before finishing second in the latest. Central Oklahoma shot a 14-under-par 826 to win The Mule and a 24-under-par 828 to win the NSU Classic. The Bronchos posted a 30-under-par 810 and finished second in the Skip Wagnon Invitational presented by Visit Edmond earlier this week at KickingBird Golf Club.
Central Oklahoma has two more tournaments on its schedule this fall. After taking next week off, the Bronchos will go to Shangri-La for the Missouri Southern Fall Invitational Oct. 20-21 and then Rockwall, Texas for the DBU Classic Oct. 27-28 at Rockwall Golf Club.
