LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Central Oklahoma jumped up two spots to No. 6 in the country in this week's NFCA Top 25, announced Tuesday.
The Bronchos are 37-7 this season with a 17-1 record in the MIAA. UCO is first in the league following a doubleheader sweep of Rogers State this past weekend in Edmond. Central, then No. 8, toppled previously fourth-ranked Rogers State. RSU is No. 8 this week.
The Bronchos took over first-place in the MIAA with its wins over Rogers. UCO is now one-game in front of Pittsburg State, which is No. 9 in the country this week. UCO and Pitt State play their MIAA doubleheader on the final day of the 2024 season next weekend.
Central Oklahoma heads to Fort Hays State and Nebraska Kearney this weekend, with doubleheaders scheduled for Friday and Saturday. UCO wraps up the regular season with MIAA doubleheaders at Missouri Southern (April 26) and Pittsburg State (April 27).
The 2024 MIAA Softball Championship is scheduled for May 1-5 at award-winning Gerry Pinkston Stadium in Edmond.
