Rylee Lemos, Terin Ritz Named To NFCA Watchlist

Central Oklahoma Duo Among Top 120 Softball Players In The Country

LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Central Oklahoma duo Terin Ritz and Rylee Lemos were both named to the 2024 TUCCI/NFCA DII Player & Pitcher of the Year Watchlist, announced Thursday.
 
The national organization announced 15 student-athletes from each of the eight regions around the country for a total of 120 players to watch. A top 50 will be announced later this season.
 
Ritz, who earned All-American honors last season, has been a key force for No. 9 Central Oklahoma this spring. The junior from Edmond leads UCO both in the circle and at the plate.
 
Ritz is hitting .404 through 32 games played. She has 38 hits, 20 for extra bases, and 41 RBIs. Ritz has a team-high 12 home runs, seven doubles and one triple. She is also 13-2 in the circle with a 1.38 ERA in 91.0 innings of work.
 
Lemos, a sophomore from South Coffeyville, Oklahoma, leads UCO with a .415 batting average. She has a team-high 44 hits with nine doubles, five triples, and four home runs. Lemos has scored a team-high 42 runs this season and has 21 RBIs. She also leads the team and is perfect on the basepath with 18-for-18 stolen bases this season.
 
Central Oklahoma is 26-6 on the season, 8-0 in the MIAA, and riding a 19-game win streak. The Bronchos host Newman Saturday at 2 p.m. in an MIAA doubleheader at Gerry Pinkston Stadium.
