Jaden Wells Earns First Team All-Region

Central Oklahoma's All-Time 3-Point King Earns Regional Award, Moves To All-American Ballot

ST. PAUL, Minn. – Jaden Wells was named All-Region for the second year in a row with the fourth-year shooting guard earning First Team honors from the Division II Conference Commissioner's Association Friday.

Wells, who earned Second Team honors in 2022-23, led the MIAA in scoring this year as he etched his name all over UCO's record books.

Wells averaged 21.5 points per game this season, scoring 666 points in 31 games played. He put up the eighth-most points in a single season in school history. Wells also made it up to No. 3 on the school's all-time scoring list. He ranks third with 1,880 career points.

Earlier this season, Wells broke the school record for career 3-pointers made and attempted. He finished the season at 308-for-791 from behind the arc for the records. He also is at 89.7 percent from the free-throw line in his career, another school record. Wells shot 382-for-426 from the stripe during his four years with the Bronchos.

Central Oklahoma posted a 20-11 record this season and made the 2024 MIAA Basketball Championship quarterfinals as the No. 6 seed. UCO won 20 games for the third straight season for just the third time ever. The program record is four consecutive 20-win seasons and the Bronchos will begin that quest in November.
