Central Oklahoma Picked 11th In Hoops Polls

Bronchos Ready For New Season Starting Nov. 8-9

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Central Oklahoma was picked 11th in both the MIAA Preseason Coaches' and Media Polls, announced Tuesday morning at MIAA Basketball Media Day.

Central Oklahoma is coming off an 8-20 season in 2023-24 when the Bronchos finished 7-15 in the MIAA and missed the MIAA Basketball Championships for just the second time since joining the league in 2012.

UCO, under third-year head coach Emma Andrews, does return seven letter winners from a year ago, including two regular starters and its leading scorer.

Fifth-year senior Karly Wadsworth leads the team into the new year. She came off the bench to score a team-high 9.0 points per game last season. Reagan Fox and Gracee Miller return as starters for the Bronchos. Fox is the leading returner in 3-point field-goal percentage, free-throw percentage, and rebounds, assists, and blocks per game.

Talia Pogi, LaKysia Johnson, Alexis Martin, and Alexis Lewis all return for their second year in the program.

Central Oklahoma opens the new season Nov. 8-9 in St. Cloud, Minnesota for a Central regional challenge at St. Cloud State. The Bronchos open with host SCSU and will also play Southwest Minnesota State.

The Bronchos also play at Drury and Midwestern State before hosting Southern Nazarene (Nov. 19) in the first home game of the season. Central Oklahoma has a dozen home games this season, including 10 MIAA home games.
