UCO Hosts Northeastern State

Central Oklahoma Plays First of Two January Home Games Wednesday Night At Hamilton

EDMOND – The Central Oklahoma women's basketball team returns to Hamilton Field House for a pair of MIAA games this week, beginning with Northeastern State Wednesday at 5:30 p.m.

UCO is 2-12 on the season and has a 1-7 record in the MIAA. The Riverhawks from Tahlequah, Oklahoma come to Edmond with a 6-7 overall record and a 2-5 mark in league play.

"They're a good team so this is going to be a tough game for us," UCO head women's coach Emma Andrews said. "They have a new coach and they're playing well, and they just got a big win against one of the best teams in the league. We just have to keep focused on our game and playing that game for four quarters."

Last season, NSU stole a win in Tahlequah over Central and snapped a 12-game win streak in the series. UCO responded with a win in Edmond later in the season. Northeastern leads the all-time series 38-35.

The Bronchos welcome NSU to Hamilton Wednesday night looking to snap a six-game slide in league play. The Bronchos dropped the MIAA opener before beating Lincoln Dec. 2 in Edmond. UCO has lost the last six – all in the MIAA.
