UCO Falls Out Of Rankings, Ending Historic Streak

Bronchos Appeared In School Record 33 Consecutive NABC Top 25s

ROLLA, Mo. – Central Oklahoma dropped out of the NABC Top 25 for the first time in 742 days, ending a school record 33 consecutive weeks in the national rankings.
 
UCO is 14-4 on the season with a 6-4 record in the MIAA. The Bronchos receiving votes in this week's rankings and are the team receiving the most votes outside of the Top 25. Central Oklahoma visits No. 24 Northwest Missouri this Thursday and No. 25 Missouri Western on Saturday.
 
Central has put together a nationally recognized program in this the fifth year under current head coach Bob Hoffman. The veteran coach brought the team back into the national rankings after a 10-year absence and earlier this season, had the Bronchos on the cusp of the top spot in the country.
 
UCO started the season 8-0 and were ranked No. 3 in the country for the first month of the season, even receiving a first-place vote in back-to-back polls.
 
Hoffman and the Bronchos appeared in the NABC Top 25 at No. 22 on Jan. 11, 2022 and Central appeared in every Top 25 up to last week.
 
Central Oklahoma visits Northwest Missouri and Missouri Western this weekend, and also makes a trip to Newman next weekend to wrap up a three-game road trip. The Bronchos return to Hamilton Field House Feb. 1 & 3 to host Pittsburg State and Missouri Southern.
