Central Oklahoma opened camp a bit later than scheduled due to rain Monday morning, but the Bronchos still got their Day 1 schedule completed.

"It was an interesting day and our plan went out of the window really early this morning," second-year head football coach Adam Dorrel said. "But that's how it goes. That's how practices go and that's how games go. We are just excited to have everyone here on campus and get this camp started. We've got a lot of things to work on and we believe we have some great kids, so we're excited to get it going."

Central Oklahoma had more than 100 on the field on Monday, including 53 from last year's squad. Of that group, 43 competed in 2022.

Central Oklahoma kicks off the new season Thursday, Aug. 31 at 7 p.m. against Nebraska Kearney at Chad Richison Stadium. The Bronchos will get two weeks of fall camp before school starts, then Central will transition camp into its regular schedule.

UCO is hosting Meet the Bronchos on Thursday, Aug. 24 when the team will have a fall intra-squad scrimmage capping off three weeks of camp.
