Jaden Wells Named All-Region

ST. PAUL, Minn. – Jaden Wells was named Second Team All-Region by the Division II Conference Commissioner's Association, it was announced Friday.

Wells was among 10 players selected for the postseason award by sports information directors from the MIAA, the Northern Sun, and the Great American Conference. It's the first time Wells has earned the award.
 
This season, the third-year sophomore guard led the Bronchos back to the national tournament as the No. 3 seed in the Central Region. Wells averaged 16.8 points per game as well as 4.5 rebounds and 1.6 steals per game.
 
The Hurst, Texas native hit a team-high 164 shots this season, including 80 made 3-pointers. He shot 44.1 percent overall and 43.0 percent from behind the arc. Wells also is an 84.1 percent free-throw shooter.
 
Wells, who was named to Small College Basketball's Bevo Francis Award Top 50 Watchlist, has 1,205 career points for the Bronchos and 225 career made 3-pointers. He ranks 26th in school history in scoring and third in made 3-pointers.
 
Central Oklahoma is in Maryville, Missouri for the NCAA Division II Men's Basketball Championship Central Regional. The third-seeded Bronchos are scheduled to take on sixth-seeded Minnesota Duluth on Saturday at 12 p.m. at Northwest Missouri State's Bearcat Arena.
