Bronchos Remain Sixth In NABC Poll

Central Oklahoma went 2-0 last week with a pair of MIAA wins at Hamilton Field House, but there were still no changes atop the national rankings. UCO is once again No. 6 in the country in this week's National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) Top 25.

The top eight teams in the country all won their contests last week, keeping that much the same in the rankings. Top-rated Indiana, Pa. did lose Monday night, however that contest won't be factored into the rankings until next week's edition.

Central Oklahoma is now 21-2 on the season, having reached the 20-win mark for the 24th time in school history this past weekend. UCO beat Nebraska Kearney 81-55 on Thursday night before topping Fort Hays State 66-51 on Saturday afternoon.

The Bronchos are 14-2 in MIAA play and in first place in the league standings. UCO is tied with Northwest Missouri (21-2, 14-2 MIAA) atop the league standings. Central Oklahoma won the first meeting between the schools in January in Edmond. They meet again in two weeks in Maryville, Missouri.

Central has just one game this week. The Bronchos visit Washburn in Topeka, Kansas on Saturday afternoon. UCO returns home next week for the final two home games of the regular season. The Bronchos host Rogers State on Wednesday, Feb. 15 and Northeastern State on Saturday, Feb. 18.
