Central Oklahoma hosts Nebraska Kearney

EDMOND – Central Oklahoma returns home for two more MIAA games beginning with Monday afternoon against Nebraska Kearney. Tipoff is scheduled for 1:30 p.m.
 
UCO (2-8, 1-3 MIAA) welcomes UNK (9-2, 3-2) for the first of two meetings today. The Bronchos will also play Fort Hays State (9-1, 4-1) Tuesday at 5:30 p.m.
 
Central Oklahoma is averaging 66.3 points per game this season through 10 games played. The Bronchos shoot 38.0 percent overall and 31.1 percent from behind the 3-point line with an average of 6.8 makes per game from deep. UCO also shoots 69.9 percent from the free-throw line with an average of 10.9 makes per game from the stripe.
 
Defensively, UCO is allowing 75.7 points per game and opponents are shooting 44.3 percent overall, 32.0 percent from behind the 3-point line, and 72.5 percent from the free-throw line. Teams average 6.4 made threes per game and 17.7 made free-throws per game against the Bronchos.
 
Karly Wadsworth is the only Broncho averaging double figures this season. The fourth-year junior is averaging 10.7 points per game. He has a team-high 37 made shots and also leads the team with 23 made 3-pointers. Wadsworth is shooting 39.8 percent overall and 35.9 percent from the free-throw line.
 
Reagan Fox is averaging 8.6 points per game. She is shooting 33.8 percent overall and 41.0 percent from behind the 3-point line, with 16 made threes. Fox leads the team with 22 made free-throws and is shooting 88.0 percent from the line.
 
Natalie Stice is averaging 8.4 points per game and has 15 made 3-pointers, just behind Fox. Stice is second on the team with 28 made field goals and is 13-for-16 from the line this year. She has 996 career points at the college level (2018-present). Stice scored 552 in two seasons played at Eastern New Mexico and 360 last year at Midwestern State. She has 84 this season with the Bronchos.
 
Alena Wilson (6.2), Aspen Williston (5.5), Aliyah Llanusa (5.3), and Caley Young (5.0) have all been key to UCO's offense. Llanusa leads the Bronchos in rebounds, averaging 5.3 per game. Wilson adds 5.0 rebounds per game.
 
Nebraska Kearney comes to Edmond averaging 77.5 points per game this season. The Lopers have three averaging double figures. Shiloh McCool leads the way at 13.5 points per game. Meg Burns and Bailee Sobczak both average and even 10.0 points per game. Kia Wilson is also averaging 9.7 points per game. McCool leads the team with 9.2 rebounds per game.
 
Central Oklahoma, which moved these two games due to commencement at Hamilton Field House this weekend, will break for Christmas following Tuesday's game against Fort Hays State. The Bronchos return Jan. 4, 2024 at Washburn in Topeka, Kansas. UCO also plays at Emporia State on Jan. 6.
