EDMOND – Central Oklahoma announced the addition of a second transfer Wednesday with Luke Haasl set to join the Bronchos for the 2022-23 season.
Originally from Oshkosh, Wisconsin, Haasl comes to Edmond from St. Leo, a Division II school in St. Leo, Florida, where he spent the past three seasons. Haasl sat out a redshirt season in 2019-20 before playing in 33 games over the past two seasons for the Lions.
In 2020-21, Haasl helped St. Leo through a pandemic-shortened season. The Lions won the Sunshine State Conference tournament that year. Last season, he made 15 starts and averaged 5.2 points and 4.8 rebounds per game.
He'll join a Central Oklahoma squad in 2022-23 that is coming off its first MIAA Championship this past winter. UCO also made its 18th appearance in the NCAA Division II national tournament.
