Isaiah Wade Named All-Region

ST. PAUL, Minn. – University of Central Oklahoma senior forward Isaiah Wade was named Second Team All-Region, the Division II Conference Commissioner's Association announced Friday.

Wade, a First-Team All-MIAA honoree last week, earned All-Region honors for the first time in his career.

The senior forward led Central Oklahoma to the MIAA regular season title this winter. He averaged 18.7 points per game and 8.3 rebounds per game. Wade also led the team and the MIAA with a 57.6 percent field-goal rate.

Central Oklahoma is in the NCAA Tournament and that begins Saturday in Sioux Falls, S.D. The Bronchos are the No. 5 seed in the Central Regional and will take on fourth-seeded Upper Iowa Saturday at 7:30 p.m. It's the first time the Bronchos have been in the postseason since 2011 but it's the 18th time UCO has made the tournament overall.
