Central Oklahoma Fourth In Latest NCAA Regional Rankings

INDIANAPOLIS – The UCO men's basketball team moved up one spot to No. 4 in the this week's NCAA Central Region rankings.

Central Oklahoma, 22-4 on the season, is ranked No. 15 in the country. The Bronchos are 17-3 in the MIAA and currently, Central holds first place in the league standings heading into the final week of the 2021-22 regular season.

The Central Region is made up of teams from the MIAA, the Northern Sun, and the Great American Conference. The NCAA will take three automatic qualifiers to the national tournament from those league's postseason tournament champions. Five more at-large selections will make up the eight-team field for the 2022 NCAA Division II men's basketball championship in March.

The 2022 NCAA Division II men's basketball championship selection show is scheduled for Sunday, March 6.

The Central Regional is scheduled to begin Saturday, March 12 at a location to be determined.
