Central Moves Up To No. 16 In NFCA Poll

LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The UCO softball team moved up four spots in the first regular season rankings announced Tuesday.

Central Oklahoma is now No. 16 in the country in the NFCA Top 25.

Central is 7-2 this season after two weeks of play. The Bronchos were ranked 20th in the NFCA Preseason Coaches' Poll. UCO went to Houston, Texas and won 3 of 5 games before returning to Edmond to host the first of the two-weekend UCO Softball Festival. The Bronchos went 4-0 last weekend in that event at Gerry Pinkston Stadium.

UCO is hosting the second weekend of that event beginning Friday. The Bronchos are scheduled to play Oklahoma Baptist, Chadron State, Harding, Arkansas Tech, Southeastern Oklahoma State, and East Central.
