The Clarence "Bevo" Francis Award is presented annually to the player who has had the finest overall season within Small College Basketball.

Wade was named to the Top 100 last month and is now among the best 50 players in the country.

On paper or on film he leads Central Oklahoma, currently ranked No. 13 in the country. The Bronchos are 20-4 overall and have a 15-3 record in the MIAA.

Wade is Central's leading scorer at 18.9 points per game and he averages a team-high 8.7 rebounds per game. Those marks rank fifth and second in the MIAA. Wade also shoots a team-best 58.6 percent from the field.

Wade has scored in double figures in 20 of 23 games played this season. He's scored at least 20 points 10 times this season and had a season-high 29 points at Nebraska Kearney in December. He scored a season-high 29 points again in Central's 76-75 overtime win over then No. 2 Northwest Missouri in Edmond last month.

Wade also has posted seven double-doubles this season and had a season-high 16 rebounds against Mary (N.D.) in November.

Central is visiting Rogers State Wednesday evening and will play at Northeastern State Saturday afternoon. The Bronchos close out the 2021-22 regular season next week with another Wednesday-Saturday split. UCO is scheduled to host Central Missouri Wednesday, Feb. 23 and Missouri Southern Saturday, Feb. 26 in the season finale.

The 2022 MIAA Basketball Championships are back in Kansas City this March. The Bronchos will make the trip to Municipal Auditorium March 2-6. UCO has already clinched a spot in the tournament. That spot could be anywhere from first to sixth.
